The STEM bulletin

Updated: Jul 9, 2022

The STEM Bulletin (TSB) is a youth-led initiative for students to nurture their passion for STEM through writing and sharing ideas. TSB started in January 2022 with the aim of making STEM education more exciting and accessible! To put it succinctly, TSB’s motto describes our vision in just three words: Your curiosity, unbounded.

In March 2022, TSB organised Code4Fund - a 24-hour charity coding challenge - and successfully garnered participation from 28 students, raising more than US$ 400 for the Dignity for Children Foundation. We plan to introduce more events in the coming months - including podcasts, talks, and competitions!

Based in Kuala Lumpur, The STEM Bulletin’s team currently consists of 30 members, including members from the other side of the globe! TSB has garnered the attention of audiences from around the world - including Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the USA, and Canada! We aim to provide opportunities for students to explore STEM beyond the classroom!

We are currently opening up our recruitment to international applicants to join our Content, Communications, Creative, Technical, Writers, and Editorial Team! By joining our project, not only will you be part of Malaysia’s first independent student-run STEM initiative, but you will also gain transferable skills that will set you up well in your future career! Time commitments vary from team to team, but on average, we expect a time commitment of 1 hour per week. To find out more about our recruitment, please check out this recruitment page on our website!

Students from anywhere in the world are welcome to apply! We encourage STEM enthusiasts to apply as you will get to meet like-minded people from all around the world.

Once a student submits the application form, TSB will contact you by email

(thestembulletin@gmail.com) to schedule a short video call interview. If your application is successful, we will inform you by email and welcome you to the team!

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until 8 July 2022, and in cycles after this date. The deadline for each cycle will be updated when the cycle commences.
